Return & Refund Policy
How returns, damaged orders and refunds worked while we were trading.
These terms are a historical record. They applied while Sciencotonic Edu Pvt Ltd was trading. The company has ceased operations: no orders can be placed, no payments are taken and no kits can be shipped. This page is retained so that anyone who dealt with us while we were operating can see the terms that applied to them.
Because trading has stopped, no new returns or refunds can be processed. If you believe you are owed something from a past order, write to verify@newtonbox.online and we will look into it.
What still applies
- The company is closed. There is no support desk, no dashboard and no shipping address that accepts returns. Please do not post a kit back to us; it will not reach anyone.
- If you think money is owed to you from a past order, write to verify@newtonbox.online with your order number and we will look into it honestly and tell you where it stands.
- Data-deletion requests are still honoured. Write to the same address and we will confirm once it is done. Our privacy policy sets out what we still hold.
- Employment verification for former staff runs through the employment verification page, which also carries the company record.
Everything below this point is the last version of the policy that was in force, kept as a record of the terms our customers bought under.
Returning a kit
A customer had 7 days from receiving the order to return a kit, provided the seal had not been broken. The package had to reach the address below within that window, and we would then start the refund request. The delivery charge was not refunded.
Newton Box, TREC STEP,Inside NIT Campus,
Tiruchirappalli 620015, India
How a return was started
- The customer raised a support ticket from their dashboard, or emailed our support desk.
- They gave their order number and the reason for the return.
- They shipped the kit back in its original, unopened packaging.
Damaged orders
Every kit passed a strict quality-control check and was packed to survive transit. If one still arrived damaged, the customer raised a support ticket, we checked the order and sent a replacement. There was nothing more to pay.
Refund timelines
- Once a refund request was raised, the refund reached the customer's bank account in 7–10 working days.
- If a payment was debited but the order did not go through, the order was cancelled and the amount was returned to the bank within 7 working days. If it still had not appeared, the customer raised a ticket with customer care and we chased it.
- Refunds were issued to the original payment method.
What was not refundable
- Kits whose seal had been broken, or that were returned after the 7-day window.
- Delivery charges, and any customs duty paid to the shipping provider.
- Kits damaged after delivery through misuse.
Course fees
The course and the kit were billed separately. A customer who wanted to cancel the course component after live classes had started could contact us, and we looked at each case individually.
Where to write now
The support desk is gone. One address answers everything that is left — a question about a past order, a data-deletion request, or employment verification.
